Giving birth to a baby is so much more than a physical phenomenon; it engages parents-to-be in a transformational experience, a key life event full of emotion and meaning. A doula who accompanies a woman in labour, mothers the mother, taking care of her emotional needs throughout childbirth. Theresa Broer has been educating doctors, nurses and the general public since 2001. Clients have choosen Theresa due to her wide variety of experience in various childbirth situations.
She is the first and Only Practicing DONA Certified Doula in Lloydminster. She has had a very busy 5 years of educating through inservices, interviews, breastfeeding support groups, prenatal classes, and was even invited to the doctors monthly meetings to do a presentation.
Theresa has hosted Lloydminster's Only "Pregnancy, Birth and Baby Fair" for the last 4 years. She had another big hit in May 2005, with Lloyd's first ever "Baby Crawl Contest".
She has also worked along side with other birthing professionals to incorporate Lloydminster's ONLY, Pregnancy Quarterly Newsletter packed with the lastest pregnancy, birthing and postpartum news, issues and trends.
Her reputation of being kind, genuine and knowledgable in her field of support is what keep the clients rolling in. She has many references clients, nurses and doctors are now referring her services regularily.

Theresa assists couples in having the birth they desire. With her knowledge in childbirth, labour and delivery, she is known to make the birthing experience a calm memorable one. She has attended VBAC births, high risk, teen births, twins and has experience in natural childbirth.

Theresa became a doula in Spring 2000 and found out she was pregnant at the same time. She gave birth to her third child and first son in December 2000.
She started Lloydminster's first and only doula practice in August of 2001.
She provides the much needed support couples get from her presence, encouragement, experience and knowledge of childbirth.
